OPEN YOUR EYES
Updated: Dec 17, 2021
In order to continue with the original purpose of these writings, I feel it is important to self-reflect on my teachings. As I dive deeper into my mind, I find that my internal problem is exactly what I preach… diving too deep.
These writings I have created have been solely based on one purpose; to encourage anyone interested, to dive into the deeper meanings hidden behind every interaction, conversation, and experience.
It is tremendously important and beneficial to learn to see below the surface, but what about those who find themselves lost in the process of overanalyzing their thoughts and behaviors?
Begin to explore the hidden wonders within your subconscious and you begin to elevate. Get lost on that same journey and you’ll be as disoriented as before you started.
So how do we tap back into the present, when our daily life has turned itself into a sort of psychological bottomless pit?
Know Yourself
Simple… we reflect. We become one with ourselves again, to see our flaws for what they are.
I’m sure we will all come to very similar conclusions when we objectively look at our bad habits. Judgment, in any form, seems to be everywhere. It’s hard to see it become so common in the ways humans treat one another, judging based on pointless shit such as skin color or beliefs.
We all want to say we don’t judge at all, but I am quite confident to say that something as simple as surrounding ourselves with different people, will bring us to a quick conclusion on just how harmful all that “harmless shit” we're doing/saying is.
Throughout time we have found comfort within our lies and greed, creating this exact society that we see before us today. Is that truly what we want? We have grown comfortable with sharing love amongst one another, as long as there is some sort of reward that is promised. Whether that be money and a family, or simply to gain support from a friend instead of for love's sake.
Reflection
Who are you really?
How often do you think about what it is that you want for yourself, rather than allowing people to tell you how it is?
Maybe you don’t know, and that’s okay. It’s as simple as knowing whether you want to be bad or good, and then continuing to branch off on the reasons as to why you naturally feel that way.
If you wind up on an answer such as to be famous and rich, you're not deep enough. Is your desire to touch the world in a beautiful and unique way? Or are you trying to use the money you earn in a way that says “fuck you” to that same world that once broke you?
When you come to a conclusion on what it is you truly desire, notice how many of those materialistic “things” you surround yourself with, might not fucking matter anymore.
Are the clothes you put on your back going to help you achieve your purpose? Will money?
What about more of that emotionless sex you consistently chase?
Once we get comfortable with what our desires are, it becomes easier to see what we should be surrounding ourselves with, versus what we have grown comfortable in.
Over the years, I have been blessed with welcoming many new friends of many different ethnicities into my heart. Just that alone, has opened my eyes tremendously to the surface issues these friends of mine face that I never saw before.
My mother raised me to love and interact with any form of a unique individual, causing it to feel normal to me from the beginning, as it should. Even then, it would be foolish of me to claim that there is no improvement to be made. Throughout the recent years of my life, I have started to notice all of the issues I was once blind to.
It’s insane how people will change the way they speak, cross the street, or even turn their shopping cart around in a grocery store, oh so sneakily to avoid interaction. Now leaving a human being subjected to a feeling of discomfort and confusion. I am disappointed, but also very sure, that they are already used to the judgemental stereotypical behavior of others around them.
To me, this is not only fucking ridiculous to see, but truly heartbreaking. After all this world has been through, we still don't seem to obtain the ability to notice the root of the problems we face, even though they may be so apparent.
Is that what you truly desire for the world? Forget all of your money, all of your clothes, and any other material possessions you obsess over; what is genuinely significant to you now? Are you still the only thing that matters in your own head?
Realize just how much all this not only affects you, but the people surrounding you.
Your spiritual purpose is not only to elevate yourself, but to do so in a way that continues to improve the world around you. To do so, you must find a balance between diving deep within your soul and noticing what is happening casually on the surface.
Don’t become comfortable surrounding yourself with things that disregard your deepest loving desires.
Some of us have things such as religion and spirituality that we count on to keep us in check as a so-called “good person”, maintaining what we think is morality. However, it is crucial to look outside of your beliefs at times to understand any distinct perspectives you may have.
Point.
I refuse to apologize to any that may feel offended by this post, for I am only speaking the harsh truth. Love.
Let me remind the world, as most may be blind to this exact understanding.
There is no system, law, program, religion, leader, prayer, energy, or higher power in general, that can put an end to the cruelty that we have created and continue to experience in this fucked up world. If there is a God, that bitch left us here to figure it out a long time ago. When you open your eyes, it becomes clear that there is only one way to achieve peace amongst this planet we call home… simply open your fucking eyes.
